Every two years, AHES awards a prize to promote excellence in research by Australasian health economists. The inaugural prize was awarded in 2009, and the past winners of the best research paper prize can be viewed on the website.
All eligible papers that are published in Health Economics and the Journal of Health Economics in 2021 and 2022 are automatically considered for the prize, but AHES members are also encouraged to nominate papers from other journals that meet the eligibility criteria (published in 2021 or 2022, and with at least 50% of authors with Australian or New Zealand affiliation).
Papers can be nominated by the authors or by other AHES members on behalf of the authors.
Please visit the online form to make your nominations.
Nominations close on 30 April 2023.
The winner will be announced and awarded at the 2023 AHES Annual conference in Adelaide this year.
