The AHES Mentoring Committee is holding the annual AHES Speed Mentoring Workshop for students, Early Career Researchers/Academics (ECR/ECAs) and Mid-Career Researchers (MCRs) working in health economics in Australia through an online forum. This workshop will include the following sessions:

  • Prof Rosalie Viney on "Advice on international and national networking, and NHMRC/ARC grants: How has COVID-19 forced us to change our tactics?"
  • A/Prof Nicole Black on "Writing for publication: view from a Health Economics journal editor"
  • Dr Colman Taylor on "Working in Health Economics outside of academia: A perspective from industry and government"

In addition there will be five breakout sessions, where mentees will be broken up into small groups with one or more experienced health economists and given the opportunity to ask questions/discuss career progression and other aspects in a 'speed mentoring' type format.

This session will run on the 26th of August 2021 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and is open to everyone. Details on how to access the online workshop will be sent out to registrants prior to the workshop.
