The AHES Mentoring Committee is holding the annual AHES Speed Mentoring Workshop for Early- and Mid-Career Researchers/Academics (EMCRs/EMCAs) and PhD students in Health Economics through an online forum. This workshop will include the following sessions:

  • Associate Professor Yuanyuan Gu on "Transition processes from Research Fellow to Associate Professor".
  • Dr Catherine Keating "Insights on potential career options for health economists".
  • Panel session with Professors Tracy Merlin & Tony Scott. Topic: “Managing Workloads - Tips and Tricks”.

In addition, there will be several breakout sessions, where mentees will be placed into small groups with one or more experienced health economists and given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss career progression and other aspects in a 'speed mentoring' format.

The session will run on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. AEST and is open to all.
